An extraordinary event happened today at 05:29 near the village of Rososh, Mukachiv district.
21 rescuers and seven pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Gas workers are also at the scene.
As of 07:15, the valve of the gas pipeline was closed, the burning is decreasing.
“There is no threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings and other infrastructure objects. The local population was not cut off from the gas supply,” the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
The deputy head of the Mukachevo district council, Roman Tarabiy, said that no one was injured as a result of the incident, and the incident will not affect the supply of gas to consumers of the district or region.
He also noted that the units of the Mukachevo State Emergency Service promptly arrived at the scene and thanked the rescuers and gas workers for their work.
