On Wednesday, October 8, a weak magnetic storm of G1 will be affected by Earth. K-index 3 corresponds to the green level of geomagnetic activity.
According to the British Geological Service, the first of the expected emissions of the coronal mass was held on the eve, which caused a weak reaction of the solar wind.
The second emission can reach the planet over the next day, which creates the likelihood of short -term periods of geomagnetic perturbations G1.
Experts emphasize that the activity of the Earth’s magnetic field will fluctuate throughout the day-the highest rates are forecast at the beginning of the day (K-index up to 4.67), with a further decrease to 2-3 points in the afternoon.
Recall that from October 7 to October 9, increased solar activity is expected, which is marked by the indicators of K-index in 4.7 in the first two days and 3 in the third.
Also on Earth, a strong magnetic storm, caused by the release of the solar wind, continues for the third day.
