Details: According to the investigation materials, the managers of one of the Kyiv medical clinics that provide services in the field of reproductive medicine, as well as a group of people who sought out women in Ukraine to enter into fictitious marriages with foreigners and participate in surrogate motherhood programs, were involved in the organization of this scheme.
The total amount of monetary reward received by the participants of the arrangement was about 50 thousand dollars, of which the fee for the organization of artificial insemination was 15 thousand dollars. And services related to fictitious marriage with foreigners – from 1-1.5 thousand dollars.
On April 24, the Kyiv Local Prosecutor’s Office No. 6, together with the National Police, conducted 11 searches within the limits of the special operation at the residences, offices, clinics, and cars of the defendants, during which medical documentation, passports of citizens of Ukraine and certified copies of passports of citizens of foreign countries, powers of attorney for the representation of interests, other documents, money, laptops, mobile phones, drafts were seized. records and flash media.
In the course of the investigation, the addresses of the apartments where the newborn children were kept until the issue of their transfer across the border were resolved.
Thus, in a hostel-type apartment in the capital’s Solomyan district, law enforcement officers found 5 newborn children aged 2 to 6 weeks, who were under the supervision of two women and a man.
The babies were taken to children’s hospitals in Kyiv.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are analyzing the seized documentation and checking about 140 foreign citizens for involvement in the illegal transfer of children abroad.
