In Dobropyla, Donetsk region, rescuers found a dog that was under the ruins of a house destroyed by an airstrike. The animal was handed over to its owners.

The rescuers found out that a dog was trapped under the rubble thanks to its weak yelping, reported in the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region.

“After the airstrike on the private sector of Dobropill, rescuers carefully inspected every destroyed yard. Amidst the debris and dust – suddenly a quiet screeching sound. barely audible”emergency workers said.

A dog was found hiding under a pile of bricks and burnt boards from a destroyed house.

“His fur was covered with dust, his eyes were frightened, but full of hope. He did not move, only trembled and whimpered softly, as if he was afraid that he would be forgotten.”– added the State Emergency Service.

After carefully sorting out the rubble, the rescuers managed to free the frightened animal. In it, local residents living near the destroyed house can recognize their pet. Therefore, the dog was given to the owners.

“In the midst of war, pain and ashes, it is moments like these that remind us that life always matters. Even when all around are ruins.”rescuers believe.
