As the border guards found out, the driver and 10 passengers planned to illegally cross the border with Moldova, for which they contacted the organizer via Telegram.

“For the ‘help’, everyone had to pay from 7 to 10 thousand dollars for a crypto-wallet, but the plan failed,” the DPSU noted.

On June 12, the spokesman of the State Security Service reported that during the martial law, more than 480 criminal groups were exposed, which were involved in the organization of illegal crossing of the state border. He noted that border guards detain people who try to cross the western border illegally every day.

In an interview with Radio Svoboda, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that he has information on the total number of men of draft age detained at the border since the start of the full-scale war, but the minister refused to divulge such statistics in general. According to him, this is closed information.

After the start of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, martial law was introduced and general mobilization was announced. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from traveling abroad.
