On Sunday, September 22, in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, a car accompanying a delegation, which included the Russian ambassador to Islamabad, Oleksandr Khorev, was blown up by a mine. This was announced in the local embassy of the Russian Federation, reports UNN

The Russians themselves stated that the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Islamabad Oleksandr Khorev, being part of the delegation of ambassadors of various countries, participated in the Forum on the development of tourism in the Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The event was organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

After the end of the forum, on the way from the city of Mingora to the hotel, the car accompanying the delegation was blown up by a mine. As a result of the explosion, several policemen were injured.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, including Ambassador Khorevy, were not injured.

Meanwhile, the local edition of Daily Pakistan, as a result of the incident that took place in Malam Jabba district, one policeman was killed and three others were injured.

The authorities began a thorough search operation to find the perpetrators of the explosion. The area was blocked off.
