The source of Radio Liberty in the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed that the second in the last seven days of a strike on the Russian plant “Gazprom Naftohim Salaavat” in Bashkortostan, drones of the SBU were struck.

“As a result of a few hits of the SBU, the SBU has a fire in the plant: a huge pillar of black smoke has risen in the air. Local authorities write that he is currently finding out the degree of damage, ” – said a source that wished to be unnamed because it is not authorized to officially comment on the situation.

Gazprom Naftohim – Salaavat is one of the largest oil refineries and petrochemical plants in Russia. It produces 150 product names: car gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, bitumen, plastic. The distance from Ukraine to it is about 1400 kilometers.

Earlier today, the head of the Russian region Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov reported that the drones for the second time in the last week attacked the oil refinery “Gazprom of Naftohim” in Salaavat.

“We find out the degree of damage …, we take measures to extinguish the fire,” he wrote in the telegram.

Before that, Russian telegram channels reported about the attack, referring to the locals. Published videos and photos can see thick smoke from a fire that broke out after the impact.

The previous attack was known on September 18. At that time, the sources of Radio Liberty in the Security Service of Ukraine reported that the long -range drones of the SBU attacked one of the largest oil refineries and petrochemical plants in the Russian Federation – Gazprom Naftohim Salaavat LLC. The fact of damage to the NPP was also confirmed by the local authorities.

Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have regularly affected Ukrainian drones. Some plants failed the installation of primary oil processing, which required repair.

Most attacks by the Armed Forces General Staff confirmed, stating that the forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation troops, as well as forcing the Russian Federation to terminate the armed aggression against Ukraine.”
