Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced that a shipment of 177 generators from the European Union had arrived in Kyiv.

Details: According to the head of the capital, we are talking about generators with a capacity of 20-22 kW. The city will use them to connect to individual heating points in houses, where there is such an opportunity.

The generators were provided from the EU’s strategic reserve of civil protection means – rescEU through the Emergency Response Coordination Center.

As Klitschko reported, another batch of 41 generators from the European Union will arrive in Kyiv on February 6.

We will remind:

  • Last week, 76 emergency generators from the EU’s strategic reserves were delivered to Kyiv to restore electricity supply in Ukrainian settlements.
  • Before that, the European Commission announced the transfer of 447 generators with a total cost of 3.7 million euros.
  • And on January 28, energy aid from Germany arrived in Kyiv – two cogeneration plants for the capital’s critical needs.
