A 12-year-old boy died while skiing in the Stryi district of the Lviv region. The incident occurred on January 8, 2025, when the child, together with his parents, was resting on the territory of the ski complex.

While skiing down the mountain, the boy fell and suffered a serious head injury. Medics tried to provide help on the spot, but the child died. Law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions to establish the circumstances of the tragedy.
Svitlana Dobrovolska, spokeswoman for the Lviv Oblast Police, said that as of January 8, the cause of death had not been established, and law enforcement officers were waiting for the conclusions of experts.
