80% of the tested restaurants violated the anti -tutorial legislation – the State Consumer Service

In 2025, the State Consumer Service conducted 36 unscheduled inspections of cafes and restaurants and found a violation of anti -tobacco legislation in 29 cases – more than 80% of the total.

According to the press service of the department, the most common violations were:

  • smoking hookah, tobacco and electronic products in food establishments – 31.4%;
  • lack of information plates on smoking ban – 37.3%;
  • Advertising and stimulating tobacco sales – 27.4%.

Up to 23 enterprises have applied financial sanctions in the amount of UAH 1.1 million. Of these, more than UAH 650 thousand were paid voluntarily, another 3 thousand UAH – forcibly.

Earlier, we wrote that in Ukraine will increase excise duty on tobacco. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the relevant law at number 11090.

It should also be reminded that the Bureau of Economic Security together with the State Border Service detained a large -scale batch of smuggled cigarettes with a total value of 165.6 million UAH in the port of Odessa region.
