Liverpool head coach Arne Slot shared his thoughts on the development of the team’s star midfielder Florian Wirz. According to the expert, the player significantly improved in defensive actions and pressing.

“Florian Wirtz hasn’t improved his game much with the ball because he’s been great in that component from the start. But off the ball, I see him making serious progress, like some of the other players,” Slota was quoted as saying by the publication The Touchline.

It will be recalled that Liverpool acquired the 22-year-old midfielder before the start of this season, paying Bayer Leverkusen a record 125 million euros.

Wirtz has already made 32 appearances for the Merseysiders in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
