Inter Milan has officially announced the signing of midfielder Janis Massolin. The transfer fee was €8 million including bonuses, but the 23-year-old will remain on loan at Modena until the end of the current season.

Massolin is a creative central midfielder who is also able to operate effectively on the right flank of the attack. Inter see him as an investment for the future, given the age of the team’s key midfielders Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Before moving to Modena in the summer of 2025 for 700,000 euros, he managed to play in Switzerland, France and Belgium. In the current season, Massolin played 15 matches in Serie B and Coppa Italia, scoring one goal and two assists.

According to Italian media, the basic transfer fee for Inter is 3.5 million euros, but it can increase to 8 million with bonuses for individual and team achievements. The midfielder’s contract with the Nerazzurri runs until June 2030.
