According to the source, the 28-year-old Frenchman wants to move to Milan in the near future, even though the parties previously considered the option of a transfer in the summer of 2026. Mateta insists on an immediate move to Serie A.
Milan and the player have already agreed on the personal terms of the contract. The forward’s salary will be 3.5 million euros per year after taxes. Currently, Cristal Peles and AC Milan are continuing negotiations on the final details of the deal.
It was previously reported that the Italian club had reached an agreement in principle with Crystal Peles, but the completion of the transfer depended on the English club’s ability to find a replacement for their main striker.
In the current season, Mateta played 34 matches in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists.
