The American club is close to finalizing the deal for the transfer of the Polish goalkeeper.

According to The Athletic, the Cincinnati football club is finalizing negotiations with Liverpool regarding the loan of 22-year-old goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek. The deal includes a buyout option, which gives the Americans the option to keep the player on a permanent basis, depending on his adaptation and performances in the MLS.

Mrozek joined Liverpool’s academy in the summer of 2020 from Wrocław in Poland. During this time, he played 17 matches in Premier League 2 and regularly played for the youth teams of the Merseysiders. The Pole spent the second half of last season on loan at the National League club Forest Green Rovers, where he got his first experience of adult football.

In Cincinnati, Mrozek will likely start at third baseman. American Roman Celentano remains the team’s undisputed number one, and 30-year-old Evan Luro plays the role of an experienced understudy. and ex-Chelsea player Matt Miazga.
