The Brazilian striker of the Italian Napoli, David Neres, missed the matches against Verona and Inter in the championship (twice 2:2 each) due to knee problems, and after his participation in the game against Parma (0:0) it became clear that it is a much more serious injury than was previously assumed.

The 28-year-old performer was faced with a difficult choice – to hope for a miracle and quick recovery with conservative methods, or to agree to surgery on the tendon of the left tibia and bring the potential moment of return to the big game significantly closer.

The Brazilian opted for the last option and has already left for London, where the operative intervention will take place.

Neres’ return to the field should be expected no earlier than in three months.

David has six goals and four assists in 25 matches.
