ESTIMATED LOSSES OF THE ENEMY

MAIN NEWS 🔸 On January 24, two-day negotiations between representatives of Ukraine, the USA and Russia ended in Abu Dhabi. Zelensky called the talks constructive and confirmed that the second stage is planned for next week.

🔸 Energy company “D.Trading”, which is part of the DTEK group, announced the early termination of the contract with Energoatom. This happened after the people’s deputy made statements about a possible collusion between energy market participants and the state company.

🔸 Kyiv and the region, Sumy region, Kharkiv region, Chernihiv region came under a mass attack of the Russian Federation at night, but the main direction of the attack was Kyiv region.

🔸 During the “Energy Ramstein”, the G7 partners announced new aid packages for Ukraine to restore the energy sector. Among other things, the USA is ready to provide more than €400 million.

INFORMATION FROM THE GENERAL STAFF OF THE ARMY REGARDING THE SITUATION AT THE FRONT (22:00)

In total, 119 combat clashes took place since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repulse the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into our territory.

The Russian invaders launched two missile and 57 air strikes, used 23 missiles and dropped 147 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 5,295 kamikaze drones were engaged for destruction and 2,843 attacks were made on the positions of our troops and settlements.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping seven guided aerial bombs and carried out 82 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, two of which were from rocket salvo fire systems.

Today, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders six times in the South-Slobozhansk direction in the areas of the settlements of Staritsa, Vovchanski Khutory, Figolivka and towards the settlements of Krugle and Chugunivka.

In the direction of Kupyansk, the enemy tried to break through the defense of our defenders — attacked in the direction of Pishchany.

In the Limansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy assaults in the areas of Drobysheve, Zarichne, Torske and towards Druzhelyubivka. One skirmish is currently ongoing.

In the Slavic direction, the enemy attacked near Zvanivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice tried to advance in the areas of Orihovo-Vasylivka and Markove settlements, one battle is ongoing.

12 combat clashes took place in the Kostyantyniv direction today. The enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Kostyantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka and in the direction of Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy attacked 42 times in the areas of the settlements of Pokrovsk, Myrnograd, Rodynske, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Filia and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Ivanovka.

Today, according to preliminary data, 113 occupiers have been neutralized in this direction, 70 of which are irreversible. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed one unit of automobile and five units of special equipment, a motorcycle, 13 unmanned aerial vehicles and four enemy personnel shelters. Also, our defenders hit one artillery system, nine units of automobile equipment, a unit of special equipment and sixteen shelters of enemy personnel.

In the Oleksandrivskyi direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled four attacks by invaders in the areas of Zeleny Gay and Zlagoda settlements.

In the direction of Gulyaipol, the aggressor tried 14 times to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Gulyaipol, Myrny and in the direction of Novy Zaporizhzhia, Dobropilly, Zeleny, Varvarivka, and Zaliznychny. Two skirmishes are ongoing. Zirnytsia, Lyubitske, Vozdvizhivka, Zaliznychne, and Verkhnya Tersa came under enemy airstrikes. In some locations, the fighting continues to this day.

In the Orihiv direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the Plavni and Primorsky areas. The enemy launched an air strike on Preobrazhenka.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy once unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our defenders.

ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE, VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY

There was a report from our delegation: the meetings in the Emirates have ended. And this is the first such format in quite a long time – two-day tripartite meetings. Many had time to discuss, and it is important that the conversations were constructive.

Negotiations continued, in particular, with the participation of the military of the three parties. From our side, Rustem Umyerov, Kyrylo Budanov, Andriy Hnatov, David Arahamia, Serhiy Kyslytsia, and Vadym Skibitskyi were present today. On the American side were Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Dan Driscoll, Alex Hrynkevich, Josh Gruenbaum. On the Russian side, there were representatives of military intelligence and their army.

The main thing that the discussions focused on were the possible parameters of the end of the war. I really appreciate that there is an awareness of the need for American monitoring and control over the process of ending the war and maintaining real security.

The American side raised the issue of possible formats for the approval of the parameters of the end of the war and the necessary security conditions for this.

According to the results of the meetings these days, all parties agreed to report in their capitals on each aspect of the negotiations and agree with the leaders on further steps. The military determined a list of issues for a possible next meeting. Provided we are ready to move on – and Ukraine is ready – further meetings will take place, and potentially next week. I am waiting for the personal report of the delegation upon its return.

I am grateful to the UAE and personally to Mr. President of the Emirates for mediation and willingness to host further meetings.
