The lease runs until the end of the 2025/26 season, and the deal includes the right to buy the player. Maximilian will start mainly with Young Ajax, the club’s youth team, but will be involved in first-team matches throughout the season.

Ajax’s director of football Marijn Boyker noted the young player’s potential:

“Maximilian is a talented striker with a great sense of position in the penalty area and a good finish to attacks. He is a good ball-handler and has a winning mentality. He will initially play for Jong Ajax, but we expect him to be an important part of the first-team attack soon.”

The 19-year-old winger was born in Lund, Sweden, and is the son of legendary forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who also played for Ajax at one time. Maximilian joined Milan from the Hammarby academy in 2022 and spent the last six months playing for Milan Futuro in Serie D, where he made 16 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.
