The English Manchester City faced staffing problems this winter, which is especially felt in the context of the center of defense of the “townsmen”.

Against this backdrop, reporters asked head coach Josep Guardiola in a recent interview whether the club is considering returning Manuel Akanji and Vitor Reis on loan to Inter Milan and Girona respectively in the near future.

“We will not bring back Manuel Akanji or Vitor Reis in January,” was the laconic answer of the Spanish specialist.

Meanwhile, Akanji played 21 matches (1,697 minutes) for Inter, and Reis made 19 appearances (1,577 minutes) for Girona.
