Liverpool head coach Arne Slote spoke about the transfer of Jeremy Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. His words are quoted by The Anfield Buzz.

“When we were looking at options, Jeremy was one of the first people we looked at. In large part because he has great speed. Tempo is one thing. It’s an important thing when you need to connect in attack, but the speed of life is essential if you’re up against the wingers of PSG, for example,” said Slot.

Jeremy Frimpong has made 11 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
