The player of the USA national team will start a new stage in the MLS The midfielder signed a contract with Charlotte until 2029.

The contract runs until June 30, 2029, with an option to extend for another season.

Last season, de la Torre was on loan with San Diego, making 37 appearances in all competitions and scoring five goals and one assist.
As part of the USA team, Luca participated in the 2025 Gold Cup, playing in all six matches of the tournament. In total, he played 32 matches for the national team since 2018.
Before moving to MLS, the midfielder played for Celta in La Liga, making 67 appearances, scoring four goals and providing nine assists.
