Liverpool head coach Arne Slott shared his opinion on his team’s progress. His words are quoted by the BBC.

“We are getting closer to what I want our team to be. It was accompanied by ups and downs. It makes perfect sense to me given the changes we made over the summer.

We made the changes deliberately because we thought we needed them. You have to adapt, so it takes time. We were very unlucky with refereeing decisions. Not even a red card was shown to a Brighton player on Saturday, but that didn’t hurt us.

We deserved our victories at the start, but still, it’s a fine line. We have to make sure that the team gets to a level where refereeing decisions don’t affect their game,” Slott said.
