Head coach Noah Sandro Perkovich commented on his team’s defeat against Dynamo (0:2) in the match of the sixth round of the main round of the Conference League.

First of all, the coach thanked his players and emphasized the club’s historic achievement:

“First of all, I want to express my thanks to our players and congratulate the team. For the first time in history, Noah reached the playoffs of the European Cup tournament. This is a great achievement not only for the club, but also for Armenian football in general. We are moving forward,” said Perkovich.

Speaking about the match itself, the coach congratulated Dynamo on the victory and noted the high level of the opponent:

“At the beginning of the game, we looked very solid, created several dangerous moments, but could not open the scoring. I said before the match that Dynamo is a big club. In matches with such teams, even small mistakes can cost us missed goals. Today we were punished for that,” said the coach.

Perkovich emphasized that his team was not surprised by the game of the Kyiv club:

“Dynamo was not surprised by anything. This is a very good team that plays well in defense and uses different tactical schemes. Perhaps we did not expect that from the first minutes they would act so confidently and harmoniously in the attack as well,” the coach added.

The specialist also assured that Noah did not lack energy for a positive result:

“We attacked, pressed, tried to do everything possible. Yes, we could have acted better during the opponent’s cross passes, but I won’t say that we played badly. It’s just that Dynamo showed very good football today,” concluded Perkovich.

According to the results of the group stage of the Conference League, Noah scored eight points in six games and took the 19th place. This result helped the Armenian club reach the 1/16 finals of the LC.
