Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko can change clubs already during the winter transfer window. According to insider Nicola Scira, Fiorentina received an inquiry from Genoa regarding the possible transfer of the 39-year-old forward.

According to the source, the Genoese club is considering the option of signing an experienced central striker, and Dzeko’s candidacy is one of the priorities. An important role in the potential transfer can be played by the head coach of Genoa, Daniele De Rossi, who is well acquainted with the Bosnian from their joint performances in Roma.

Dzeko joined Fiorentina before the start of the 2025/26 season, but did not become a key player for the team. In the current season, the attacker played 17 matches in all competitions, started seven times, played a total of 652 minutes and scored two goals.

Genoa are currently 16th in the Serie A standings with 14 points, while Fiorentina close the league table with six points.
