Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has commented on the strain in his relationship with star forward Mohamed Salah, who has recently expressed dissatisfaction with his role in the team.

According to Slot, the key question is whether the footballer accepts his share of responsibility for the situation.

“You say that everyone makes mistakes in life… so the first thing that has to happen is does the player feel that they have made a mistake too! The next question is, should the initiative come from me or from the player?” said the mentor.
