Under pressure from critics and rumors surrounding the future of Daniel Farke, Leeds produced one of their best games of the season. The hosts completely controlled the game in the first half and scored twice thanks to first Premier League goals from Yaka Biyola and Ao Tanaka.
Chelsea came alive at the start of the second half and substitute Pedro Netu reduced the deficit. But the Londoners’ game was finally broken by Tosin Adarabioyo’s blunder – Dominic Calvert-Lewin easily scored the third goal and removed all questions about the winner.
It was only Leeds’ second win in the last nine rounds, but it lifted the Peacocks out of the relegation zone and their first in over three years against top-13 opposition.
