In the match of the 14th round of the Spanish championship, Betis secured an important away win against Sevilla, registering a 2-0 success at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The guests had enough for a goal in each half: Pablo Fornals opened the score, and Sergio Altimira secured the advantage of the green and whites. It is worth noting that Betis won even without their main performer Antoni – the Brazilian missed the match due to a straight red card received in the previous round.

Sevilla finished the game in the minority: in the 84th minute, Isaac Romero received a direct penalty. And in a few minutes, the emotions in the stands got out of control – the fans of the home team started throwing objects in the direction of the Betis goalkeeper, because of which the meeting had to be temporarily stopped. The teams returned to the field only 12 minutes later.

The victory allowed Betis to score 24 points and climb to the fifth position in the standings. Sevilla is currently 13th with 16 points.
