Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones frankly commented on the current state of the team after another defeat – this time 1:4 against PSV in the Champions League match. The fiasco was the ninth in 12 games and further increased the pressure on head coach Arne Slott.

24-year-old Jones did not hide his emotions when commenting on the situation in his team.

“I don’t have any answers. Honestly, I don’t. It’s just not acceptable. I’m past the stage of being angry inside. I’m at the point now where I’m just at a loss for words.

We will try to get this team back to where it should be, show everyone again what kind of club this is and why it is called the best team in the world. But right now we’re in real shit, and that has to change,” Jones was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Note that Arne Slot’s team is not only losing often, but also crushingly: for the first time in 72 years, Liverpool conceded three times with a difference of three or more goals – in addition to PSV, there were painful defeats against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.
