Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike commented on the upcoming Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

“We have a difficult period ahead of us with a lot of games – not easy ones. The matches before the national teams, of course, were also difficult. We need to stick together and really support each other. But I am confident in myself. I think we can do something good – this is a good opportunity for us.

In football, momentum is the most important thing. We started this season winning every game at the end, scoring goals in the last minutes. Then we started losing, but I think we can turn that around. We can go back to winning again. It’s just about the gained momentum. I believe that we can progress and become better.

Nottingham Forest recently changed their manager and now they play better defensively. They have a particularly good defence, so I feel every game – every game – in the Premier League will be tough. We will need to work hard and prepare for this weekend.

I feel like I started to play better. Although I haven’t scored as many goals in the last month, I have improved some other aspects of my game. It’s about becoming better and I’m sure I can do it,” Ekitike was quoted as saying by the club’s press service.

As a reminder, the match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest will take place tomorrow, November 22, at 17:00 Kyiv time.
