The head coach of the Slovak national team, Francesco Calzona, shared his emotions after the crushing defeat by Germany with the score of 0:6 in the selection for the 2026 World Cup.

“It was a difficult match. It was difficult for us to compete with such a team. I am satisfied with the way we have gone this way so far. It is a pity that the score was so big, but we have what we have,” said Calzona.

He also added: “Defeats happen. You have to be prepared to lose against teams of this level. Now we have a few months to recover and in March we will be ready for the playoffs.”
