According to the source, the 78-year-old leader has no intention of leaving his post in the middle of the current term.
Peres is convinced that he must complete his mandate, which will last until 2029. He is not considering an early retirement and plans to continue leading the club to complete key projects, including the development of the Super League and the modernization of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Florentino Perez first became president of Real Madrid in 2000, defeating Lorenzo Sanz in the election. After resigning in 2006, he returned in 2009 as the only candidate. He went on to win elections again unopposed in 2013, 2017, 2021 and 2025.
The current mandate guarantees him a stay at the head of the club until 2029, and Peres intends to work it out in full.
