Lviv Carpathians won against Kryvbas (1:0) in the 12th round of the UPL and continue to rise in the standings. Assistant head coach Ihor Yermakov shared his impressions after the match.

“A very emotional match, full of moments and emotions,” Yermakov noted. He emphasized that the team was in full control of the game: “The boys decided to play the attacks calmly, because the opponent was low. There was no point in us rushing. That’s how we wanted to get Kryvbas out and look for free space.”

The assistant coach noted the professionalism of the players:

“The team is working very productively. Previously, moments were not created like today. I believe that this is a step forward.”

Regarding the withdrawal of Kryvbas goalkeeper Oleksandr Kemkin in the 16th minute, Ermakov noted:

“This is the theory of probability. The game would not have changed from start to finish – we would have dictated our terms and won even with equal teams.”

The head of the coaching staff emphasized the importance of the support of the fans:

“We wanted to give victory to all our fans, even those who criticized us. The team deserves support and proved it.”

Ermakov also commented on why the team looks stronger even in periods of injury:

“Each player wearing the Carpathian emblem clearly understands their duties. When they step onto the field, they are ready for anything.”

After 12 rounds, Carpathians have scored 18 points and are in eighth place in the UPL. The team will play its next match on November 22 against Metalist 1925.
