Inter defeated Kairat 2:1 in the 4th round of the Champions League group stage. Although the Milanese were considered undisputed favorites, the Kazakh club made them nervous at the San Siro.

Already in the 10th minute, Lautaro Martinez should have opened the scoring, but his shot from the goal line was blocked by a defender. The hosts created moments one after the other, but only in the 39th minute, the captain of the “nerazzurri” still broke through the opponent after a commotion in the penalty area.

After the break, Inter allowed the opponent to equalize the score – after an unsuccessful corner kick, Ofri Arad was the first to play in the finish and scored Kairat’s historic goal in the group stage.

In the 78th minute, Carlos Augusto brought victory to the home team, who accurately scored from the edge of the penalty area after a pass from young Francesco Pio Esposito. At the end of the meeting, Marcus Thuram returned to the field after an injury, who could have made the score bigger, but hit the net from outside.
