Leroy Sane, who left Bayern Munich and joined Galatasaray only in the summer, is already thinking about the future and does not rule out an emotional return to Germany. ​In a conversation with the media, the 29-year-old winger admitted that he is considering the option of returning to his native club – Schalke 04 to end his career “nicely”.

​It was at Schalke that Sane made his name and progressed from the academy to the first team before moving to Manchester City in 2016. ​

“I think maybe playing for Schalke again at the end of my career would be exciting,” Sane was quoted as saying by Sky Sport.

​He admitted that he was open to anything and that it would be a good story. Sane added that he recently discussed it with his former Bayern team-mate Leon Goretzka, who is also a Schalke protege. ​

“I had a great time there. Playing in the arena was always a lot of fun – it was my first step into professional football,” Sane said. ​

At the same time, the winger emphasized that this return is unlikely to happen in the near future, as he intends to play for more than one year.
