The head coach of Milan, Massimiliano Allegri, shared his impressions after his team’s narrow victory over Roma (1:0) in the match of the tenth round of the Italian championship.

“In the first 35 minutes, Roma deservedly could have opened the scoring, because we did almost everything wrong. It was also due to the huge pressure the opponent put on us – we couldn’t go on the attack,” Allegri said.

The coach explained that changes in the composition of the team helped to change the situation on the field.

“We had to lower Bartezaghi and De Winter deeper to create more space for the development of the game. After we took the lead, we started to act more confidently in defense and switched to a scheme with four midfielders,” added the specialist.

Allegri also emphasized that Milan played much more confidently in the second half.

“We entered the second half with the right attitude and had the opportunity to double the advantage. Then Roma leveled the game, but practically did not create clear scoring opportunities,” concluded the head coach of the Rossoneri.
