The first Classic this season turned out to be a real football thriller. In the match of the 1/8 finals of the Cup of Ukraine, Dynamo Kyiv beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2:1, winning in the second half.

After an even start, the “miners” gradually seized the initiative – Arda Turan’s team created a number of scoring opportunities, but goalkeeper Nescheret kept Kyiv in the game. At the beginning of the second half, the advantage of the guests was still reflected in the result: the young Meirellish headed Pedrinho’s pass.

But after the missed Dynamo revived. Oleksandr Shovkovsky’s team increased the tempo, and it bore fruit. In the 72nd minute, Andriy Yarmolenko equalized the score after Kabaev’s pass, and a few minutes later, Guerrero finished the ball into the goal after Riznyk’s save, making the final score 2:1.

Dynamo advances to the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup, while Shakhtar prematurely ends the fight for the trophy.
