Speaking to reporters, Slott lamented his team’s inability to deal with low defensive blocks and constant long passes from opponents.
”We haven’t found an answer to this yet,” the Dutch specialist stated.
Defeat at the Community deepened the crisis in Liverpool. Slot also called this match one of the worst during his time at the club.
In addition to tactical problems, the coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the referee’s decisions, in particular, calling the penalty awarded to his team “stupid”.
Slot noted that opponents seem to have found an effective antidote to Liverpool’s style. He gave the example that even Eintracht in the Champions League consulted with other EPL coaches to better prepare for the game against the Reds.
