36-year-old winger Baia and former Brazil Brazil player Everton Ribiro said he had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The footballer announced this on social networks after the victorious match of his team against Flamengo (1: 0).

The footballer mentioned that he has already undergone the operation this month and is currently under recovery.

“Everything has gone well, thank God. I recover from faith, the support of my family and all of you. I am sure that we will win together in this battle,” Ribiro wrote.

The Brazilian Football Federation, his current Baia Club, and the former – Flamego, have already been supported by the player.

Recall that Ribiro was included in the Brazil national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Throughout his career, he also played al-Agli, Cruziro and Corinthians, gaining numerous titles at the club level.
