Dynamo Kiev football player Vladislav Kabaev in an exclusive interview with Football.ua spoke about cooperation with the former mentor of the team Mircea Lucescu.

– You worked with Mircea Lucescu, who at least in the miners, was very demanding for the flank midfielders. Did you feel additional loads?

– The very high load was on the team. A lot of running work, long workouts went. Someone came, someone did not. I worked with whom I worked with, you need to find my coach, my man. I think my game and in my mood I could see that I was hard. I was demanded from what I could not do very well. If I could do it, I could have this coach too. I am not Douglas Costa, not Willian, I’m not Vitya Tsigankov (let’s look at the eyes) … So it was difficult for me.

Shovkovsky came, changed it a little and said to me, “You can do it, that’s what it is.” And it went completely differently. I need more freedom. When I am put in the frame “Take the ball and give”, it is difficult for me. And when they tell me, “You can play in the situation here and here,” I felt easier.

And in Lucescu I was hard. Plus, I still got in such a period that the team lost the dawn, Dnipro-1, Benfitsa. And this season was finished in fourth place. I will not say that I played one badly, just the team had such a period then that we did not show our maximum. Then the coach changed and he did not change anything dramatically. Just gave a little freedom and went out the result at once, – Kabayev said.
