About 40,000 pilgrims who came to Uman to celebrate the New Year-Rosh Ha-Shan have already left the territory of Ukraine.
This statement was made by a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SPSU) Andriy Demchenko in the TV.
“In fact, the number [хасидів]that we have recorded at the entrance is nearly 40,000 citizens, then during these recent days, since September 25, the same number went beyond our country, ”Demchenko said.
According to him, the main flow of pilgrims came on September 25, when only 25,000 Hasidim left Ukraine a day from Ukraine. The following days, the movement was less intense, but yesterday more than five thousand pilgrims left the country.
We will remind that as of September 15, more than three thousand Hasidims came to Uman. In total, 50,000 pilgrims are expected to celebrate the Jewish New Year.
On the eve of the annual pilgrimage of Hasidim to celebrate Rosh Ha-Shan Ambassador of Israel in Ukraine, Michael Brodsky visited Uman. The diplomat passed the water treatment system to the local hospital.
Earlier a delegation from the city of Uman Cherkasy region Visited Israel, where she discussed the development of the city and Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation.
