Shakhtar Central Defender Valery Bondar shared his thoughts after a draw with a napkin (1: 1) in the first match of the Playo of the League of Conferences, where he scored Goom in the 73rd minute.

“They started a good match. In principle, there were good moments, but they played very inattentively on the standard, made mistakes, and I think they gave the team to gain a small advantage, and at the expense of this the opponent played the account and was convinced of his actions. A little mood was shot down, but then it was a matter of fact.

About his rare goal Bondar added: “To be honest, we want to help your team more often, because today there was a hard match, a difficult match. I am glad to improve our situation on a football field a little, but very upset, because it was not possible to achieve the result that we always count on and what the coaching headquarters.

He also emphasized the importance of working on standards: “A lot of coach gives this element – standards, and probably, it was also a great responsibility to score the ball today.”

Answering questions about the absence of Arda Turan, Bondar noted: “Of course, there is always the absence of the head coach. He was neither in the locker room nor the field, but sometimes they even heard it from the podium. It is, of course, felt, but in no case can we say any excuse. We must go out for a football match and win with such a football.”

When asked what to improve before the answer match, the defender replied: “Implementation of moments.”

The play will take place on August 28.
