The ex-player of England and Manchester United Ashley Young can return to the club in which he started his professional career. According to Talksport, Wotford considers the possibility of signing a 40-year-old football player who is currently in the status of a free agent.

Young left Everton at the end of the 2024/25 season. He played for the club for two full seasons and spent 70 matches in all tournaments. Despite the age, the footballer is not going to finish his career and stated that he was ready to continue playing at a professional level.

“I feel as well as when I was 20. I will continue. I played 31 matches this season and I feel that I can play on,” Yang said in an interview with Talksport Breakfast.

The negotiations between the club and the player have already begun, the final decision should be made by the head coach of “Shershniv” Paulo Paczolano. The main doubts are the age of the player, although his physical form remains high.

Ashley Young started his career in Wotford. He made his debut in the first team in 2003. He spent 110 matches in the club before he went to Aston Villa in 2007 for a record for the club at that time.

His subsequent career included the performances of Manchester United, with whom he won the Premier League and the League of Europe, the Italian Inter (Series A), as well as another period in Villa before the transition to Everton.

Last December, Young became the fourth oldest bomber in the history of the APL, having implemented a penalty in the match against Volverhampton.

Recall that last season Wotford took 14th place in the championship.
