In an interview for Marca, he shared his motivation and first impressions of a new stage in his career:
“We spent an incredible 2.5 years in Eyüpspor, set records, rose to the Super League. But that section was completed. The proposal from the miner appeared at the right moment and I was ready for it,” Turan said.
The mentor is delighted to talk about the atmosphere in the club:
“Shakhtar is a club with deep culture and DNA of the winners. I am happy to be here. We have a fantastic training environment, players work with pleasure, and we set big goals. First of all – again – again to win the Ukrainian Championship. But we also strive to leave a mark in the European Cups.”
Turan recognizes the difficulties caused by the war through Russian trade, but it does not allow this to stop the team:
“Yes, it’s hard. But I didn’t hesitate for a moment. People in Ukraine live with this every day. We are here to give them joy through football. In every match we want to make them a little happier,” – quotes the words of Turan’s edition Marca.
