37-year-old Iborra Vicente announced the end of a gaming career and joined Levante’s coaching staff. The former captain and symbol of the club will become an assistant head coach Julian Calero in La Liga.

Iborra spent 17 professional seasons, speaking for Seville, Leicester, Vilmarreal, Olympiakos and Levante. His career was full of leadership but also important trophies:

– 3-time winner of the Europa League with Seville (2014, 2015, 2016)
– Lozter Cup Winner with Lester (2021)
– Europa League finalist with Vilmarreal (2021)
– more than 500 official matches in professional football

At the farewell press conference, Iborra mentioned the most emotional moments of his career, thanking his family, partners and all clubs where he spoke. Especially – Levante, who called the club of his life:

“I arrived at Levante at the age of 15 – this is my other home. I lived, dreamed and suffered here. But we couldn’t live without our damn Levan, right?” He addressed the club employee just during a speech.

Iborra also confirmed his desire to become a trainer in the future, and now begins a new chapter near his native team.
