On June 24, the Second Round of the UEFA Champions League of the 2012024/25 women’s Champions League took place. As a result, the first rivals of Ukrainian representatives – Poltava Vorskla and Kharkiv Metalist 1925 were known. Women’s Football UAF (Womensfootball.com.ua).

Vorskla, which acts on the champions path, has got to Group 5. On August 27, the team will play a semi -final match against the winner of group 6 of the first qualifying round, where Lanchhuti (Georgia), Mitrovtsa (Kosovo) and Cliftonville (Northern Ireland) will compete. In the event of a victory on August 30, the Poltava will meet with the winner of the Gintra pair (Lithuania) – Farul (Romania) for the right to continue the fight.

Metalist 1925 starts in the way of representatives of the League and will meet with the Swedish Gammarbu in the semifinals of group 1.

This season will become historic for Ukrainian women’s football – for the second time in the Champions League, two domestic teams will perform at the same time.
