According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of January 15, the Russian invaders launched a combined attack on Ukraine with various types of air-, land-, and sea-based missiles, as well as “Shahed” type UAVs and other types of imitation drones.
In total, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identified and escorted 117 enemy aerial targets: 1 Iskander-M/KN- ballistic missile (launch area – Belgorod region of the Russian Federation); 7 Kh-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft (launch area – Tula region of the Russian Federation); 4 Kalibr cruise missiles (from the Black Sea); 27 Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles from Tu-95ms strategic bombers (launch area – Volgograd Region, Rv); 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missiles from tactical aircraft (launch area – Belgorod region of the Russian Federation); 74 strike UAVs “Shahed”https://unn.ua/imulator drones of various types (from Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions – Russian Federation).
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy’s air attack.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:30 a.m., 77 aerial targets were confirmed to have been shot down: 23 Kh-101, Kh-55cm cruise missiles; 3 Kalibr cruise missiles; 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missiles; 47 strike UAVs “Shahed”https://unn.ua/drony-imitators of various types, another 27 did not reach their targets (lost in location). Not all rockets that were not included in the downed statistics reached their targets!
The enemy, as indicated, “attacked Ukrainian energy facilities, in particular gas infrastructure in Kharkiv Oblast, Lviv Oblast, and Ivano-Frankiv Oblast.” “Unfortunately, objects have been damaged as a result of the Russian attack,” the message reads.
