The head coach of “Furia Roja” Luis de la Fuente will continue his work as the coach of the Spanish national team.
As reported Diario AS, the coach had certain disagreements with the Royal Football Federation, mostly of a financial nature, but an agreement on the extension of the contract until the end of Euro-2028 was reached.
De la Fuente’s current contract expires in the summer of 2026.
It will be recalled that last year the Spanish national team won the European Championship, winning 14 matches out of 17.
Earlier De la Fuente has been recognized as the best national team coach of 2024 by the IFFHS.
