In the first match of the semi-finals of the English League Cup, London Arsenal lost to Newcastle (0:2) on their field.

Mikel Arteta’s side wasted plenty of chances to score as the game progressed, even by their favourites’ standards, while their opponents made surprisingly good use of their chances late in the first half and early in the second half.
