The day before, it became officially known that the left winger of London Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team Mykhailo Mudryk missed the last matches at the club level due to positive doping testdue to which he faces a long-term disqualification if sample B shows a similar result.

The CEO of Shakhtar Donetsk, Serhiy Palkin, expressed support for his former protege, whose transfer to Chelsea became a record for Ukrainian football.

“Mykhailo Mudryk is a huge professional, and I am quite sure that he did not use any prohibited substances.

I fully support him and am sure that he will prove his innocence,” Serhiy Palkin wrote in Instagram.

It will be recalled that earlier Mykhailo Mudryk spoke about his positive doping test. The Ukrainian winger was temporarily suspended from football.

In the winter of 2023, Shakhtar earned a guaranteed 70 million euros from the sale of Mudryk to Chelsea, with another 30 million provided as bonuses.
