Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has spoken about the progress of his teammate Pau Kubarsi.

“I am convinced that Kubarsi has what it takes to win the Golden Boy in 2025, even though he is a defender. He can become the second defender to win this prize.

Playing with him and training every day, I notice that his level is incredible.

I think he can already be considered one of the five strongest defenders in Europe,” said Yamal.

The 17-year-old Barcelona defender has made 18 appearances this season in La Liga.
