On November 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree depriving 34 traitors of Ukraine of state awards. The former captain of the national football team, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, and the former owner of Arsenal, Vadym Rabinovych, were among this list.

The first list included 34 people. Among them are former government officials, people’s deputies, heads of the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors, artists, Russian political, religious and cultural figures. All of them were deprived of state awards of Ukraine indefinitely.

On March 11, 2022, the UAF KDC decided to punish Tymoshchuk for tacitly supporting the actions of the Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine.

Anatoly was stripped of all titles, awards, honorary titles, coaching license and banned for life from playing football in Ukraine.
